I found this image on our inspiration site today and thought I would also try KarenÂ’s challenge of painting our stamps (TLC575): http://lorraineloots.com/item/6-october-2014/
Karen diluted her brushos with water but I had read somewhere you could use your shimmer mist (or pearlized water) instead, and then that way you also got a shimmer in the paint. So, I thought I would try it, and it worked! Using the MISTI, I painted the diluted brushos on one section of my stamp at a time. Sometimes I spritzed with water, sometimes not. When it seems too wet, I dabbed with a paper towel. I was going for a bolder blue and more of a red, but I never know what I am going to get with the brushos. Stamped the sentiment, covered it up so I could splatter with the same diluted brushos. Matted and popped up the panel for dimension. Thanks Karen and Audrie – for the inspiration!

So well done! I really struggled with Karen's technique challenge - it took me all week to come up with results I liked enough! Love the splatters matching the butterflies' colours.

Such a cool technique, Maura. Have not tried it yet, but it is on my to-do list. You achieved amazing results. The colours are so vibrant. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up! xx
