My first entry, amongst so many creative and talented people out there! Easy card, the difficulty part for me was learning the blending technique for first time! To start dark or light shade first...

Ah, a warm welcome to SCS, and congratulations on your very first upload! I so love House Mouse images, and this one is so adorable! I love the beautiful colors you've used and the gorgeous bow. When I started here at SCS, it was way before Copic markers and SU Blendabililties - so just go look at my first cards (yikes!). But I love your coloring, and you will continue to work at it, as we all do. I just took some Copic coloring classes myself and learned a lot. Here at SCS, we encourage and love on each other. And I hope you will be encouraged and keep working at the blending. I still struggle myself too, so we are all learning all the time!
I know you'll find lots of inspiration and encouragement here at SCS, and perhaps you might consider joining a challenge found on the Home Page. Looking forward to seeing more of your work! Hugs!
P. S. You might want to go to the Forum, "Start Here" and get familiar with SCS and perhaps introduce yourself (by starting a new thread). Here's a direct link.

You did a beautiful job! Thanks so much for joining us at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge. I was able to search for your card since I'm a member here but your linky entry needs to be re-done. When you put the link to your card, it has to be the link to this specific page on Splitcoast or it won't work. I would fix it for you if I could but only the folks who enter can put that info. in.
Let me know if I can help you in any way. Good luck in the challenge!

it can go either way that light or dark first... I tend to leave the spots I want to be light as white until nearly the end because, you can always add more but, it's harder to take it away.
It's just a practice thing you'll get there eventually.
I love this image its so fun for spring.

I so love this image! How sweet is that little face on that wee one. Beautiful card, does bring a smile to your face the minute you see it. Glad you sorted out how to leave a link and sharing your wonderful entry with us. Hope you will join us often, a new challenge begins Monday.
Hugs
