Happy New Year, sweet friends! It's been a while, but I've been busy with the holidays and just giving myself a much-needed break (and trying to reorganize a bit). But I got the boost I needed with the latest Power Poppy remixed digital image. I didn't know that the Lenten Rose (also called Christmas Rose) is known as Hellebores (I wonder how many of you knew that? I imagine some do.). After seeing all the different hues of Hellebores, I was inspired by some of the Pink and Red Lady varieties. I found some designer paper and went to work and came up with this layout - not the most original, but I hope it works.
I used my beloved MISTI to stamp a sentiment from a clear set that fit perfectly. I ended up paper piercing both layers of DP and colored the edges with Copic markers. I lightly sponged some Tea Dye ink while in Labels 11 that I hope you can see. And then I decided to add some lace with seam binding on top and popped the focal image. It was so enjoyable to finally make a card again, and I hope you like it. I hope to start posting again more often and participating in a challenge soon.
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a great week! Stop by my blog for more details. Hugs!

Just beautiful, Cheryl. Your coloring is magnificent and I've probably told you that before. Your water looks so real and the flowers, too. Love the designer paper. So glad I checked to see if you've made one of your outstanding cards and you have.

Cheryl, I got my notification that you uploaded a new card. I love that feature and never knew it existed. Imaging my joy to see your name up "in lights"! This was well worth waiting for. Absolutely STUNNING Hellebores (and didn't know either) which are colored to perfection. I love paper piercing, so I always enjoy seeing that added detail on cards. I love your choice of dp and the beautiful lace ribbon. I truly hope you can make more cards as I know how therapeutic it can be. It's certainly therapeutic for me to get to see the creations you do. They are pieces of art. Hope you are feeling better. Hugs and Blessings!

It's a wise and balanced women who heeds the sign of needed rest. And once we are rested and refueled we continue on life's path ready for whatever comes our way. I remember the day I found your gallery of lovely cards I was so attracted to these particular colors too - I think they may be your signature my friend. Today that touch of laced ribbon is the perfect compliment to your design. Stay healthy dear friend, rest when needed, and continue to grace us with your beauty - inside and out!

Incredible, absolutely incredible. Wow, you can color to perfection, girl. Even though you say your card design is 'not the most original,' it's still gorgeous. I love square cards best and your CAS style is so perfect. I can only guess how PP sales skyrocket every time you upload a card! Beautifully God-inspired creation.
