What a nice surprise to see Lydia hosting the IC today and a big Happy Birthday to Audrie.
I tried Lydia's technique with a large roll of Eclipse tape I had on hand and water color paints. It didn't work for me. I now need that frog tape she used, lol. The next best thing for me to try was to make my own stencil with the Memory Box butterfly collage die. I also ended up using Tim Holtz distress inks instead of watercolors. I liked how the stencil looked after I used it so I cut around the butterflies to use it on another card. A butterfly wasn't my inspiration this morning, it was the white space detail in this Leopard. I die cut several bodies from two different Memory Box butterfly dies, doubled them up and adhered them to my butterfly wings.
Thanks for looking

How did I miss this beauty? Been away a lot and who knows what I missed. This is gorgeous and I love the colors. Making your own stencil was a super idea. You are so creative. BTW, I bought the frog tape after seeing Lydia's video.

Oh, Irene, this is gorgeous! I've been negligent in checking your gallery, and I'm so thrilled to see you posting some new cards I've not seen. These are beautiful cards, and I just love how you've used the dies and the gorgeous colors. And each one is beautiful in itself - different with the matting on the left and the more CAS on the right! Stunning! Hugs, sweet friend!
