When I saw the theme of today's Inspiration Challenge I'll confess I teared-up a little. I've been missing my step-mom this week ... and one of the things she left me (when leukemia took her from us much too soon) was her vintage button collection.
I looked through the button board and chose this vintage abalone button as my inspiration.
I featured one of my step-mom's large abalone buttons on my card using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch. I kept the design simple, so the beauty of this mondo button could shine.

How wonderful to learn you miss your step-mom. What a wonderful bond you must have had with her. Great tribute to a woman you loved and who just happened to leave you all her buttons. I can see why you had tears in your eyes, Stef. Your card is a loving testimony to someone you've loved and lost. Beautiful.

How lovely that you could make this as a tribute to you mom! Very pretty!
