Good Morning... A couple of fun challenges today. I forgot to add the stickles to his little hat before the photo but I assure you it is added now...
CAS355 Trim a Tree
TLC564:
Judy's Rules
1. You need to use something that you thought wasn't worth saving, remnants, leftovers, etc. it could be your main part of your card, as mine is, or it could be in the background with a nicely stamped foreground.
2. You need to have two DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES (your choice, and please describe!)
3. You need something shiny. There are lots of shiny things around -- so whatever you like for that part!
1, I started out using a package of Rold Gold Pretzels that I kept for the layout on the front. It was shiny yellow, so it perfect for two of the rules. I cut a piece of the yellow out of the package and adhered it to a piece of card stock and die it with a SSS star die. I also used the negative part of a die cut which is normally thrown out.
2,
a, I used masking to mask off the dog in the tree stamp and masked off the gift that the mouse is holding on the base of the card.
b, I used fussy cutting and paper tole for my second technique.
3, I used glossy accents (on the ornaments), stickles ( on the hat and under the tree), and foil packaging for my shiny items.

This is stinking adorable, Irene! Love the negative tag for your layout...I'm going to have to borrow that idea! Thanks for playing along with this week's CAS challenge!
