Making this card I was thinking of an old tradition : children walking in the streets all dressed up and the leader holding a stick with a big star, pulling on a string to make the star spin !
I made a Shaker card for the base of my card and filled the Shaker with star and circle Sequins and tiny white beats/grains for the snow.
The sentiment inside is from Marianne Design and says:" Wishing for a beautiful, fine, cozy and happy New Year".
The little ice crystals are stamped with an old stamp in Sky blue ink.
The Light blue paper is dry embossed with the Snow embossing folder from Provo Craft.
The Christmas tree is from Stamping Up: Season of Joy- stamped with Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
The large dark blue ice Crystal on the white circle is a spinning mechanism .
You have to pull the string and watch it spin!
Instructions for this Spinner by Connie Stewart:
I used 2 circle punches -pop up dots- a piece of thread - a brad- and a golden Rhinestone.
wonderful color for this card, and how the star is outstanding with all the goodies inside and a wonderful sentiment too! Thank you for playing along at Seize the Birthday!
