Hello, my friends! Remember me? It's been far too long, and I completely missed October! I've missed you all and have been lurking a little bit, but I'm hoping to start making more cards. I was inspired to color again with this new Power Poppy digital, so it sort of kick-started me (I hope). It was such fun to color, and I loved finding photos to inspire me to color the corn. Living in South Florida, we don't have fall/autumn, so it was fun to see all the different colors of corn. I kept it simple and sponged inside the die and around the edge of the card base. And I matted it with green to match the ribbon. It's really so nice to post a card again, and I've really missed you all! I would love to have a group hug with so many of you, so I guess I'll just pretend we had one! LOL!
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a great day. Stop by my blog for more details and complete step-by-step directions for using digital images in Microsoft Word only. Hugs!

A big hug right back at you Cheryl. I have been stalking your gallery for a new card and HERE IT IS - as beautiful as ever and I love how you colored the corn and matched the ribbon and card stock. It really makes the card pop. Beautifully colored and sponged to perfection. I'll have to look on your blog about the digi images. I have been having problems with that as of late. GROUP HUG from my home to yours!

Cheryl, this is SO beautifully colored! It almost appears to be a print since it's so perfectly done! The sponging is gorgeous and highlights your image so beautifully!

Oh my goodness, Cheryl!!! Look at your FANTASTIC coloring, it really blew me away! SOMEDAY I hope to be able to color like this! Yours is so detailed and so very realistic, I am so wildly impressed. Love how you've shaded the background, and the stitched detail adds just the right touch. This HAD to be in my favorites, I know I will learn a lot from this as I look at it over and over again.
Thank you, Cheryl for being such a kind encouragement to me, you have such warmth and caring in all of your comments I see here on SCS, what a wonderful way to uplift, you do it SO well!!! What could be better! Just know that I personally appreciate your encouragement of my own work and what I see so often on others' cards here too.

Glad to see you back in the Gallery again with this spectacular card. Love all the different shades in the corn kernels - and it looks so life like. Incredible sponging around the edges and so well done. Wish my sponging looked like this - practice, practice and more practice.

Cheryl, Hello. Long time no see, my friend. I'm thinking things might be getting better day by day. I saw this on your blog earlier today. Yes, I visit your blog but, unfortunately, I can't leave a comment because I don't have any of the links mentioned to be able to leave a comment. I loved what you mentioned about digi sentiments. I never thought of that. Girl, you'll be teaching all of us great things until we meet in Heaven. Your coloring, as always, is spectacular. Whether it's water colors or copics, you've certainly mastered the skill of coloring. The colors selected are just wonderful. Praying for you, dear sweet Cheryl.
