I stamped the sentiment image, then added strips of colour with a wash brush. With a paintbrush and Inktense pencils, I spattered orange in between the yellow and red, and purple in between the red and blue.
To finish, I added a brush cut from kraft and silver (for the ferrule). I inked the handle and added a couple of layers of UTEE.
Finished off by doodling a border all round the edges.

WOW Sabrina, you do the complex, mixed media stuff so well, and now you are the CAS queen. I am still trying to get the hang of CAS, so I pinned this to my CAS pinterest board for inspiration...I should rename that board "wishful thinking" pins. Great choice of image and colors.

Incredible! My first thought when I saw your card was, "How in the world did you know to place the brush strokes so they were perfect in relation to the sentiment?" You stamped FIRST...thanks for specifically mentioning this in your description, because it never occurred to me to do it that way. Ha...Anyway, your brush stroked colors are amazing - in placement, color and the way they shape the whole design. And they all have that important white space between to allow breathing room. This card will serve as a study piece for me - so many neat design & creative ideas packed into it (one of which is the darling little diecut brush with paint on the bristles - the perfect finishing touch!). Great card!
P.S. - thanks for your kind comments on the Giving Thankscard I did for this challenge. You brought a big smile to my face this morning!
