This card is for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge~ A Pistachio Party in the Sahara. I am the challenge hostess today and the dessert option is to add your favorite embellishment to your card/project.
I am an avid follower of Vicky Papaioannou and her fabulous art journal pages. One of my favorite embellishments these days is embossing paste, so I whipped out a card (must admit the whipping took a couple of hours...) using one of Vicky's journal pages for inspiration.
The background is watercolored with today's three colors. I covered the entire panel in distress glaze to keep the watercoloring intact. The fun took place with adding the embossing paste around the edges with the bubbles stencil. The seahorse and sea star were watercolored as well and then stamped with one of the ultimate grunge stamps to add some dimension. Gel medium was used to adhere them to the panel and I shaded around both with a PITT pen. Touches of white gel pen and sentiment added to finish the card.
I am also entering this card in Teresa's Hope You Can Cling To (HYCCT) Challenge~ Cancer Free. (Freestyle Collage Card)
Enjoy!

A wonderful creation, Peggy! All the mixed media stuff kinda scares me as I usually put mine right into the trash. Thanks for the inspiration; I just love it!
