This is for Barbara's fun colour challenge. I finally purchased a sample pack of SU cardstock so I could get the colours right and hopefully match it to stuff I already have.
The background was done by dribbling some paint onto an alfoil sheet then blasting it with a lot of water - swish a precut cardstock panel around in the watery paint then quickly take another piece of precut cardstock and kiss the two pieces together.
This method not only gives you two panels of painted card, but it thins down the first card nicely.
I used an eggplant coloured ink to do the stenciling and various copics for the girl (before fussy cutting her). The card lacked gusto so I used one of the blackberry coloured copics and stenciled the card again.
If you are now thinking my stencil is forever stained, you would be correct LOL. Hand drawn dohickies were added then finally I stamped on the words and added some pink bling.
The wierdo girl was an image I stamped at a fundraiser. Thank you for looking.
Hint: After fussy cutting I generally go around the edges with a dauber and black distress ink. When it is intricate cutting like this, turn the image so the wrong side is facing you, then using Copic (110 special black), run the side of the marker along the edges. If you slip it doesn't mater as you are applying it from the back.

I love your girl, and I think pink is definitely her color! How adorable this card is! I can't believe you did all that fussy cutting on her hair! Wow! Great background, too. Love this!

Such a Fashionista!!! Love your bg and the stenciling and, of course, your dohickies! Those Words are a great touch. So Cool! So is she! But you haven't named her! And I love her "do". You did a Marvelous job with the beads. (Didn't know the Leggings Store had outfits too. How nice.) Fantastic as always, Susie. Love, love, love it!

Susie, love all your weirdo images, there's just something SO appealing about them, this cute girl no exception. I see you using alfoil again, you must buy it by the ton. Does it achieve a different outcome than a non stick craft sheet? Regardless, your results are brilliant!

How totally fun is this! Love the description of your card as much as the card! She is a bit quirky but that is why she is sooo cool! Love that you fussy cut her and that you gave her such a fun place to be set against. Thinking about her, she looks how I feel sometimes and when I am at the hairdressers being foiled my hair looks similar to that. Super fun!!! Hugz

Cool two-for-one background, Susie!! Got to love those. Your little dohickies look super, you're starting to make me want to try them even though I don't do doodling.

What a cool image! She is perfect for your funky technique. I love to read your adventures in crafting - your descriptions bring me to your craft space...I'm not sure that I would be as bold as you with my paper - but then again I think my craft space is messier and there would be a lot of collateral damage! Wonderful card, thanks for sharing your talent and wit my friend!

Oh my goodness Susie this image is darling! Oh I am sorry your stencil is stained with your copic, did you try using alcohol to see if that would dilute it a bit? And I am giggling at your terms for "Hand drawn dohickies". You just get me smiling with every card and every story! Thank you sweet Susie for again giving us another fun story and smile to go with your super cards.
