What a great inspiration challenge today, Audrie! I just love using Pinterest for inspiration! I was up late last night and still working on a card and found this pin as inspiration - what beautiful cupcakes! The colors and flowers inspired my card.
I used the new Power Poppy remixed digital image that's available today. Clematis is a flower vine that grows up walls, along fences, on buildings, and also on trellises. So after coloring my image, I used a decorative die and glue several layers to the pink card base. Then I used Labels 28 for the pink mat and fussy cut my focal image using out-of-the-box technique.
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a great weekend and a fun Labor Day weekend. More information on my blog. Hugs, all!

Beautiful Cheryl! The die-cut frame was just perfect for this : Climbing Clematis. Lovely dimension added by hanging some of the Clematis off the frame. A stand alone beauty!

Cheryl, I don't get to visit SCS much any more and occasionally upload a card, but I thought I would take the time to see what you are up to. I didn't know I was going to fall out of my chair. GOSH, there's no way to describe how beautiful your card is. Everything so elegantly placed and your image and beyond amazing coloring can't help but bring some sunshine into anyone's life. You are so talented my friend!!!!

I can say with certainty this is a beautiful card IRL. Sweet Cheryl, I was overwhelmed with your card and gifts. Thank you so much. It just really touched by heart. To be honest, I'm Catholic and have never really gotten into any Catholic daily inspiration books. A few weeks ago, my neighbor gave me a daily readings book entitled "Jesus Calling." She lost her husband last year to cancer and said this got her through her ordeal. It's a fabulous book. It's sweet and to the point, but your book provides a more in-depth look at what our daily lives could and should be. Thank you. I now have 2 very different books but each one is a gift because of their differences. I was surprised to the find a copy of "Our Daily Life." I used to subscribe to that while we lived in CA. For some reason, I failed to keep up with the subscription. Thank you for that. I think God knows I always enjoyed reading those books and would cut out passages and tape them inside my bible. Cheryl, for the 1st 2 weeks after John's diagnosis, I cried and cried and cried with worry. I finally sat down one afternoon and told God, "you've taken such great care of me all my life, there is no reason you will not continue to do that." From that day forward, I've not cried but have continuously relied on God to give me what I need to get through each day. God loves you and your heart and I love you for the very same reasons. You're words and gifts truly spoke to my heart. God knew that I needed that. You're such a blessing in so many lives. We all love you, sweet child of God. hugs and love. I'll be in touch.
