While spending a week crafting with Jody (Jodylb), I had luxury of borrowing her wonderful stamps! Thanks Jo! Painted the background with distress paints and a brush after removing the dauber. Stamped over the paint and colored directly on the paint with pencils. Die cut with her beautiful stitched rectangle die and matted on a background we created with the Susie Australia technique of smacking the ink pad on a craft sheet, spray with water and using a wet sponge, smeared it on paper. Thanks for stopping by.

Just beautiful, Nancy! That butterfly looks like the real deal, in fact I read your description to make sure it was just a stamp! I will have to investigate this technique.

You are the master of gorgeous, rich earth tones, Nancy. This is beyond words beautiful. Iwould love to have large versions on your cards hanging in my house. Your fantastic sense of design just shines on this wonderful card. It feels like the veiwer was lucky enough to get a glimpse of this pretty butterfly before he danced away. Into my favs.

Beautiful! There were at least 4 occasions in your process where I could have easily ruined this. Great coloring and stamping - the butterfly is so pretty.

It is so funny, I almost bought this stamp about a week ago and decided not to, because I didn't think I would be able to color it! YOU NAILED THIS!! It is absolutely gorgeous!!!

Love how your bg peeks around the edges of this striking creation - it has the most wonderful marble effect! Your coloring, as always, leaves me breathless. You are the technique Queen!

Wow, Nancy, this is stunning!! Love your distress stained bg and how you stamped and coloured right on top of it - we all love using Susie's squirt and smoosh technique LOL! Sounds like you and Jody had a lot of fun times stamping!!
