I used the Faux Stamped Leather tutorial for this. Only I used a stencil instead of stamping - I saw in the Technique Spotlight gallery that Dina had made a card using a stencil, and it suited this card. So instead of stamping, I sponged with Walnut Stain through the stencil onto kraft, and then followed the tutorial.
The singing owl and tree trunk are from TCP stamped with masking, and sponged while in the die.
I added a sentiment tag, and since I was adding a gold star to that, I added a few in the background as well. It's layered onto kraft with a couple of score lines and sponged edges.

OMG, Sabrina. You never stop amazing me. This is so very creative. I love the faux leather bkg combined with that fantastic tag and adorable image. You must have a great collection of stamps..you always have the perfect stamp for any card theme.

Oh Sabrina you have outdone yourself on this card.. your faux leather turned out so well and it is perfect for a western theme with that adorable little owl playing the banjo...love all your music notes and stars and the little tag with the twine... well done.

Great sample card for your fantastic challenge. Your bg faux leather with the stencil really looks authentic. The stencil gave it the worn weather look. Of course your image is perfect for the theme. TFS
