I gave 12 year old Emily bisters to try out. I was working with her 7 year old brother. When I saw the backgrounds she created, they were just beautiful. After she sprayed the bisters with water she poked them a bit with a paint brush It reminded me of a raging sea, the perfect backdrop for this ship. She stamped the ship in Ranger Archival then again on white scrap. The sails were shaded with pencil and paper pieced. She stamped the sentiment in Versafine and embossed in clear. I pulled up the sailor's knot (Carrick Bend) on the computer since I can never remember how to tie this one. She followed the pictorial instructions to finish this off.
A special thank you to Christine (calex) for helping me obtain some of this wonderful paper!
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, Nancy, what an amazing job Emily did! Woohoo for her! She's headed for the Dirt Pile someday! And I love this ship with the beautiful sails! Stunning card with the great nautical knot. Walt would know exactly how to tie one of those. He grew up on the north shore of Long Island and had his first boat at 8 years old. He'd love this! What a joy to see it! Hugs!
