How exciting to have today's challenge be w/c bg. I just learned a new technique from a class I am taking from Scrap Time. Worked perfectly for this card.....details...
You sponge paint on your acrylic block, spritz it with water, then stamp it on your cs. Dry. Repeat process.
After I was satisfied with the bg, I added a scrap strip cut off of another project to the edge and sponged on the hearts using a stencil.
On a book page, I drew the flower tops and sentiment which as I was editing the photo realized I made a big OOPS! Oh well. This card is for a dear friend and I think she will get a kick out of it when she catches what I did. hehe Then I cut the shapes out and glued them to my bg.
Doodled the stems, leaves and dirt pile. Painted everything and doodled some more. Done.
Well other than that OOPS, I am pleased with how this turned out. Thanks Cathy for a fun challenge. TFL :0)

Your bg turned out so bright and vibrant. This has such a fun, whimsical feel. I love the black and white doodled stems.... beats conventional green anyday.

Oh how adorable and I did not notice the oops until after I read your description. I once did that kind of a oops on a card for my MIL. She still loved the card and kept it. Very lovely and I love your doodling.
