This fun guy was colored with copics and pencils. I was saddened to see the closing of Squigglefly. He is matted on an background I did with home made walnut ink mixed with distress inks resulting in a gray/green/brown. The card base is a gelli print and the burlap is from my neighbor's garage. A few stitches were added. Thanks for looking.

Your coloring of this ostrich head is UNBELIEVABLE, Nancy!!! I can practically count every downy feather. Your talents are WAY above most of us here on SCS. Seriously.

ahaha! That bird looks like he wants to come after me when I look at him...that is real coloring talent! You are so nonchalant about what you have done and how you colored, like anybody could do it...you are a wonderful artist! Love this my friend!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE him! He looks much friendlier than the one that bit me at the zoo several years ago, LOL!
That's a fantastic image and your coloring is superb, as always! wonderful layout, and fabulous Gelli print - you ARE going to teach me how to do this properly, right? Awesome card, Nancy!

Nancy what an awesome card. His eyes are just amazing. I love how you have a wee bit of white at the top for the highlight. Your coloring on him is fabulous. Love this.

You achieved such a realistic look with your coloring, he looks like he could step right off the page! Your background (card base) is AMAZING...the gelli plate results ROCK. I just had an almost identical piece of burlap in my hands a few minutes ago... trying to work it onto a masculine card I have been working on. I LOVE the way you used yours. and your stitching provides such a nice addition to this simply WONDERFUL card!

Above all the other cards on SCS, I love this one. In fact I would love to have it blown up, framed and hanging in the same room where I have a goat he would love as a friend.
Get thee to an art gallery and make a fortune with your talent, Girl! This is just The Best.

Oh my Nancy! I looked and looked and thought what a dumb looking animal! I left the picture up and walked away. From a distance I SAW it was an ostrich! I was thinking that was a bad hair day, but the more you look at it - he is CUTE! Love the different types of stitching and then the single little bow! Great card, as usual! tfs
