This week, the tea party is headed to Joyce. She is a huge fan of Downton Abbey and is in real need of cheer.
Polly (Peeps321) sent me this stamped image a while ago (thank you Pol!) and while it is not an Abbey, it does lend itself to the time period, I think. I colored the manor image with copic markers and used sponging for the clouds. Then, I cut the image to the same size as an ATC and added the other images to the kraft background. I used a Tim Holtz marker to lighten the faces of the girls. Not sure if I like how that turned out or not. The sentiment is stamped in different colors for Joan's TLC challenge.
Thanks for taking a peek and if you have time, please think about making a card for Joyce!

Awww, Kathleen, what a wonderful card, with the Downton Abbey feel to it, and also, remembering thoughts of long ago, as I am sure Joyce will recall many wonderful moments with her sister when she sees these sweet images! I love how you cut it down to an ATC card size for the manor house - great card!!
Have have you been doing? I do remember you in my prayers and hope all is well. HUGS!

I think you captured "Downton Abbey" superbly, Kathleen. It might not be the Abbey, but it sure looks like Violet Crawley's abode....she's one of my favorite characters in the series. Sure to bring a BIG smile to Joyce.

Wonderfully sweet images surrounding the mansion, and you colored them beautifully. I'm not all that familiar with Downtown Abbey, but I think it's a terrific card!

What a cleaver card, Kathlene. You did a terrific job combining the two themes. The little images along the sides look wonderful. Such soft, lovely colors.

Kathleen, this is a perfect card for Joyce and will touch her heart. The upper left image makes me think she is looking back in time and remembering the special moments she and her sister shared over the years. A beautiful card made with love.
