This sketch was out of my comfort zone and I did alter it a bit. I used my vine-y die cut to create a squarish black space in the upper left corner, where I used a heart rather than a circle. Time to start on the next card celebration...Valentine's Day.

I adore your little love bower Sallie! :-) The pattern of the white vines against the black is very pleasing. This is a great take on the challenge and a very pretty Valentine!

Sallie, I am with you about getting those Valentines started. I love making Valentines even more that Christmas cards. Love the way you used that diecut bg and your little cupid is adorable. It reminds me of the ones we would cut out in my kindergarten class (not an easy task I might add). One year a little girl had great difficulties and cut off the wings by accident. One of my GT boys replied
"that cupid won't be flying anywhere!" Life before fabulous diecuts!LOL

Sallie, how creative. I haven't been in the gallery for awhile, so I didn't even know what the sketch was. So I had to go and check it out :-) I LOVE your interpretation. A great Valentine's card.
