This week we are celebrating 500 TLC challenges!!
We're trying out STAMP ETCHING and adding a little sparkle to it to celebrate!
You can find full details of the challenge HERE.
After failing to come up with a suitable line-art stamp, I used a silhouette stamp, outlined it with a fine pen and then added my etching lines and dots.
First, I made a base layer using Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood and wrinkle-free distress.
Then I stamped the coneflower using Misting with Markers. I outlined it with my finest black pen and added lines, cross-hatching and dots.
Then I stamped the grass with Peeled Paint and sponged some more green over it.
I edged it with a black marker, and added it to a base sponged with Peeled Paint distress stain and scribbled over with a gold leafing pen.
For my added sparkle I stamped the solid butterfly from Papillon Potpourri in Versamark and used Stamp and Stick to add gilding flakes.
I lost my entire write-up earlier :-(, and don't have time to fill all the fields in again before work, but all details are in my write-up. I'll fill the fields in later!

These cone flowers never looked so good, Sabrina. Your hand etching adds SO much depth to the flowers and leaves. The bg grasses with the shading behind them make a nice back drop.

How pretty, Sabrina! I was also considering a silhouette image and doing as you did...maybe I'll try it after all after seeing your card. Really terrific! Did you find the stamp & stick works? I have totally ignored that stuff because it just doesn't seem to work for me. Even when I think it's worked...a few days later, the glitter falls off.
