First let me say that my stampin' Ladies were over on Sat and we learned how to stencil. All said and done, I decided stenciling was NOT for me. So who is reading my brain and testing me today? I decided to be brave, and here is my card for two challenges for today. I don't think I left ONE fingerprint on this time either.
The technique challenge was to stamp inside your stencil. I hope I did it right as I was not understanding until I looked in the gallery. (Horrors! I never look before I design) Today I did and was inspired by Kathy LeDonne's card. This is how I understood the directions:
I cut an oval with a spellbinders die for my stencil. I held it on top of the piece of designer paper and sponged the edges. Then I stamped the poppies with the same color. My first try had the sentiment stamped in the same color too, but it didn't show up well, so I stamped this one in black.
Except for the fact that it looks like a cute little face with long eyelashes and cute lips, I like it. I maybe need to try something other than an oval next time for the stencil. Thanks for looking.

Maybe whoever's reading your brain is trying to tell you that stenciling IS for you, Carol.....this is a gorgeous card....directly into my faves. You did a beautiful job. BTW....you have the wrong CAS number in your keywords.....so your card is not showing up in the CAS gallery.....it should be CAS 286.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?

I love the muted colours of your sympathy card. Those delicate poppies look wonderful framed in the oval. I really like the font of your sentiment. This is such a serene and calm card. Beautiful!

Your card is beautiful, and I don't see the face at all, lol. I think you should continue on your stencil journey!
