I'm thrilled to be a GDT member of the Color Challenge this month and excited to be sharing cards alongside many of the ladies I have admired from the galleries at Splitcoast!
Karen Barber gave us four colors to work with - Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, and Coastal Cabana. She also threw us a curveball with the desert - and said our main image couldn't be flowers or a sentiment (ouch!). I went to an old stamp from Karen Lockhart, knowing I could incorporate the colors. After coloring the image in deep reds for the Cherry Cobbler color with my Copics, I die cut a window out of the card base, created a frame for the window out of Daffodil Delight, and created depth with the apple image using Stampin' Dimensionals behind the die cut window. The card base uses a new CB embossing folder, called Gingham. The ribbon and sentiment's ink are Wild Wasabi. Three glitter enamel dots finish off the card.
