hi there,
Congrats to our FS this week; Barb Mann and her great gallery. I thought this card was cute so cased it: My Forest Friends Card by Barb Mann at Splitcoaststampers
I CAS-ed it by just having one oval die cut but tried to keep a similiar colour. I also changed the orientation and for the main panel I inked my stamp with Distress inks and sprayed with water before stamping to give a watercolor effects instead of using DP. I also randomly inked an embossing folder, sprayed with water and touched my main panel over that to add some depth to the colour.
thanks for looking,

Really like the watercolor affect on the background panel.

Love the way you brought the green and floral theme into your sentiment panel! That green is so full of life (reminds me of the colour of the chlorophyll extracts from my biochemistry labs) :-) I know, yucky! But you have to admit when the sun shines through the early summer leaves it looks like that. Beautiful card!

Karen, you do create some of the most stunning backgrounds I have seen! This one is gorgeous and love the added dimension to it by adding a darker color. Thanks for always sharing your techniques!

Karen - Your card is gorgeous. I LOVE the watercolor floral background. It's amazing. I hadn't thought of adding an inked embossing folder (as a stamp) to a background I'd already created. Nice idea. I love the simplicity. Thanks for making this a wonderful, fun day and blessed week for me... Barb
