This is my card for this weekÂ’s CC473. Vicki is our hostess and she chose Pool Party, So Saffron and Sahara Sand with a dessert option of making an Easter card.
I started my card by sponging the background in a sunshine pattern with wild honey distressed ink on white cardstock.
I followed this tutorial by Gina K. But basically I used a scrap piece of cardstock and sponged along the edge and kept moving the cardstock until I covered my background and achieved the sunburst look.
My crosses are Sweet ‘n Sassy die and I cut those in soft suede (my other neutral this week) and then used a TH ef to add some texture. I used a PTI die for my hill and I cut that In soft sued dsp. Clouds are from an MFT die and the stamped sentiment is from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.
I used a Memory Box “wildflower die” for the flowers around the crosses. I cut with Sahara Sand dsp and then cut again with pool party dsp.
ThatÂ’s my card for this week. Hope you can play along with us. You may be our next CC fave of the week and be featured on our Pinterest Color Challenge Board. See the board here.

Your sunburst technique turned out so nice Mary!! I have been afraid to do that. I really like your Sunday Easter morning scene. That is pretty much the way we remember it. Thanks for sharing. :>)
