I have been gone almost a week, so used a Embossing Paste stenciled tree that was on my desk. I already had the sketch in mind from the CAS(E) This Sketch #70 Challenge, which made my design very easy.
When I saw this weeks Seize the Birthday Topper Challenge was Buttons, Rhinestones and/or Bling I immediately thought of Dazzling Diamonds to make my paste embossed tree special. It was the 1st time I have tried this technique on a dried paste image. Just laid the stencil over the pasted image and dabbed with Versamark and sprinkled with the DD shaking off the excess. Worked great. No heating required. I wish my photo showed the sparkle better. I mean...it really sparkles in all lights and angles :-) I used a favorite SU birthday set from 2005.

So glad you tried glittering a dry paste-embossed image . I would have been too afraid of wrecking it. Thanks for that tip.
Love the card of course.

The contrasts on this card are so delicious. I would never have thought to mix woodgrain with sparkly bling, yet it is just right on this card. A wonderful CAS creation.
