Happy Anniversary, Ways to Use It challenge...always a great way to head into the weekend, don't you think? I would so love to play hooky from work and create anniversary cards all day...but in lieu of that, I've just thrown it all on this card and I'll call it good!
Here's the first card for son Sam's birthday next week. I've circled the date and month on the Cat's Life Press date stamp. It was stamped on journal paper, torn from the spiral binder, embossed and then placed in the hands of....(cool Invoke Arts image). Underneath the hands are the LEFT coast states...we've lived in every one of them, but as you might have noticed, it's OR that is in our heart. The tiny wooden heart was in a recent RAK from Shadow's Mom...I added a small brass star under the VWvan painted in "THE" UO colors (sorry, my oHIo friend...big smile) I also shadow stamped musical instruments around the base of the card...an ode to the fact it won't be long before Sam's hitting the road with his music. The map paper is a marvelous funky 12x12 from Studio Calico.
I know I piled it on with this one, but a quarter of a century is a lotta liven'. Thanks so much for stopping in for a peek...remember when you were 25? I'd so love to hear something memorable for you from that age!

This card for Sam is such a montage of his life!! What fun...and I'm sure being your son, he'll enjoy every reminder!! When I was 25 I was pregnant with son #2, who is now 45, so you know how old I am!! I'm glad NOT to be 25!!! Hugs, my friend!

Oh my goodness, Susan, sheer perfection for your son - I agree with Karen, you make the coolest cards! At 25 I had just got married and arrived in this country to make a new life - and it was so much harder than I'd ever imagined! Took me years to actually feel at home here!

What an awesome birthday card for your son! I too have lived in the three left coast states. Born and early years in California, grew up in Oregon. At 25, I moved from Corvallis to the Seattle area. It was a very expensive place to live on what I was making! We moved back to Oregon within two years. Have a wonderful day!

WOW Susan! So much depth and history and detail went into this fabulous card. I was drawn to that VW bus. DH and I had several of those and loved each and everyone of them. We had some great times back then.... Love your card! TFS :0)

What a great card for Sam - he will love it! A trip back trough time is always fun. I was a newlywed when I was 25. Two years before my mother expressed her fear that I was going to be an old maid. My sister and 3 older brothers married before they were 21.

How fun! Your son will love this. I had one of those VW Vans in the day and I'm from the West Coast too but moved to the Midwest at 25 and met my husband and married him 8 months later. Love all your details on here.

Susan, your heart, soul and so much thought went into this as it does with all your cards! What a wonderful tribute to his life! I love how you have the calendar in the hands.
Hmm, at 25 we had our fourth of five children. I have to agree with Anne on this one. I'm glad not to be 25 now!

I love this! Lots of fun and memorable elements - he has to be thrilled with it. How great he is hitting the road with his music. Great card Susan.
When I was 25 - lived in New Mexico and was an auditor at a small bank. I remember I received 4 flower arrangements that day and I felt like my desk was a floral shop. I think it was one of my best birthdays ever. Tell us your 25 year old story - I know it is interesting! Hugz!
