Happy Tuesday everyone. The snow has finally stopped. I have over a foot of snow in my yard. But the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day
I made this for todays colour challenge - soft sky, bermuda bay and midnight muse. I used various scraps of blue cardstock to make my stripped diagonal panel and used a shimmery designer paper for the upper right triangle - very close to soft sky. I stamped the coneflowers in river rock ink and coloured with copic markers. Sponged in the softsky clouds. Cut out image with circle spellbinders, sponged edges with night of navy ink. Stamped over the flowers with sanded backgrounder stamp using Soft sky ink. Matted with scalloped navy circle. Pieced holes in the scallops. Sewed edges of the stripped panels - matted with navy and tempting turquoise card stocks. Flower panel is popped up. Sentiment is from Fresh Cuts SU set. Added the dragon fly embellishment. Finished the inside of my card. I really like how this turned out.
This also works for the Fan club theme - You raise me up...

Spectacular! love the layout, the way you used the different papers to create a diagonal stripe background, the stitching, and especially those beautiful flowers! One of my favorites for this week's color challenge.
