I decided to try some of Heather T's wet stamping techniques, something easy or so I thought. How wet is wet is the issue. After four tries I had some success wetting the paper after coloring the stamp with markers and spritzing it. The colors started to bleed a little bit which was enough for me. I heated it with the heat gun to keep it becoming too distorted. I opted to quit while I was ahead and not water color the background but reached for my trusty Air Sick mini brick stencils. The flourish was from the internet which I printed on ink jet acetate and pierced with a Pergamano piercing too, then pierced the card and stitched with a beading needle. Sponged the edges with Memento ink a bit.
Thanks for looking.

Oh, that sewing is really pretty and LOVE those Iris'. Love your idea of just adding some stitching in the corners or just on top etc. instead of all the way around like I always seem to do.

This is really lovely--soft, subtle, very classy. The faint brick texture adds so much. It (to me) gives a hint of the flowers growing in front of a brick wall, yet keeping all of the focus on the flowers. Brilliant!

WOW! This is stunning! The brick stencil is such an amazing BG - just barely there so as not to detract from the focal. The stitching is a dynamite final touch!

Nancy, Your card is just awesome from the beautiful softness of the bricks to the petite looking stitching! The flowers just sit there so nicely! Great card! tfs
