I'm on a real artsy kick lately and can pretty much blame Pinterest! I had pinned this pretty art piece and thought it would be good inspiration for today's Fairy Tale Inspired HYCCT challenge from Paula. I reread the 12 Dancing Princesses story to refresh my memory. I had a piece of paper which I'd used to "clean off" my Canvas stamp after using it for the stamp kissing technique on my last card. What it leaves is patches of the Canvas with empty spots where the solid stamp pulled off the ink. I then sponged the two lighter blues around and into these blank areas and added Island Indigo mainly along the edges. I used my music notes wheel in Indigo to add to the bg. I inked up my tree images with Always Artichoke. I had printed my ballerina image and fussy cut it. I glued it onto my bg and then colored with a Qtip and pastels. I took torn dictionary page and spritzed it with a home made shimmer spray. I sort of masked off the ballerina and sprayed, but I hit her on the chest and shoulder just a bit (should have sprayed before I added the gal, but didn't think of it and had used a glue stick so couldn't remove her). I tried to fix this by adding some glitter pen over the shirt portion and also added some to her eyes and along the folds of the skirt. Didn't really help the top so I watered down some Rose Red marker scribbled on acetate for the top. I shortened the sentiment by only inking the center part and stamping it in the corner. I added pearl accent and put it all onto a Pink Pirouette base.

LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY. I've really seen your creative spirit shine and grow this year. Love all the layers of ink and glimpses of stamping thru out your pieces. Thanks for providing a run down on your processes. During the read I'll often go back to the image and visualise what you were doing.
