This week our cards are headed off to Mary Jane. Mary Jane is a friend of Precious Kitty, and has suffered a light stroke. She would be thrilled to receive a bunch of card, as she is a cardmaker herself.
This weeks story take place in the garden. Esmeralda is a beautiful wallflower that needs a little persuasion to reach for the sky. Vy, her butterfly friend is just the one to do this.
I've brought Vy to the party, or maybe it's one of her friends.
So instead of bringing flowers to the party, I brought a flying flower. It is so fascinating to watch the butterflies floating from flower to flower, perching her and there along the way. It is simply magical.
This card uses the other part of c/s from last week. I've clear embossed leaves all over this card, that barely show unless turned to the light. The butterfly has been colored underneath with Pebbles I Kan Dee chalks, and the outer edge on the top has been colored also.
I hope this card and all the others will bring some cheer to Mary Jane.
Check this out, no die cutting what so ever on this card! I played and played with different flower ideas, but this heat is frying my brain, so I went with the flying flower.

I can see the leaves on the background - but only when I stop admiring that stunning butterfly! It's so beautiful.
And you're right, it is wonderful watching them. But I got a little frustrated on holidays this year trying to take a photo of one particular species. In flight its wings were the most beautiful sulphur/chrome yellow, but the millisecond that it landed on a plant, it closed them right over and all that glorious colour was hidden, leaving a pale green.
