Linda's challenge to us today for the WTUI challenge is to use any sort of colour blocking. Ever since Beate did a tutorial recently on Color Blocking with Cardstock I've been meaning to try it out, so this was a perfect opportunity.
I used three colours of Bazzill, and cut out a leaf from Spellbinders Foliage 1. I laid embossed black card behind it, and matted it on black.
Cream card was stamped with a HA script stamp in Smokey Grey, and a leaf from French Foliage in several colours of distress inks - Forest Moss, Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs, Spiced Marmalade.
I added a button and twine to finish it off, but I think it will still work as a masculine card.

I think this makes a wonderful masculine card - I often use buttons and twine or linen thread on cards for guys. I love the way you cut the leaf from the blocked cardstock and popped that piece over the embossed black. This looks wonderful!
