This week is Tickle a Teapotter week! It's our little reward for the cards we send off to deserving recipients the other weeks of the month.
This week Nancy Bear is heading up a block party to start the summer season off with a bang.
Too bad it's raining here in California. So I've taken the party to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The party is just enthralled with the sardine tank, so many little fishies in one place. Good thing they're behind some really thick glass. Now me, I'd rather watch the jellies, but you know bears, they like fish!
The bg is done with alcohol inks on a c/s that is white micro pearl. It has this wonderful yet subtle sparkle, just like the sun hitting the ocean. The fish are an embroidery pattern by Erica Fortgen. I've enlarged the pattern to 110%. I've also added another row of fins . The bubbles are two shades of blue and the eyes are red paua shell cabochons.
I've used a little CLD flourish and a Crafty Ann flourish for the seaweed.
This card will be going off to Tickle another Teapotter!

Jennifer, these fish are lovely! Kind of like transparent, great camouflage from hungry big fish!

Oh Jennifer, LOVE LOVE LOVE your silver fish. This is super cool and elegant too! WOWZERS BIG time! What a lovely card. Must say, I wish it was still raining, not looking forward to the heat we are expecting for the next several days. Guess I will just have to start work earlier to stay cool. LOVE your CARD! TFS :0)

Wowza Jennifer! That background is gorgeous! It looks so much like water I am sure the fish can't tell the difference! What else would you use on fish but sparkly thread and I love the way you have adapted the pattern to suit your needs. Absolutely fabulous!!

Oh goodness. The background looks amazing, and so do the fish. And the seaweed is clever as well. This is one of those cards we need SCS in Hi-def to really appreciate.
