I didn't get a chance to play in the Free for All Challenge on Friday which was to repeat an element. I had picked another card from the gallery of Queen Emily (aka Stamp Muse) and decided to put together a CASE of it. I started with my diagonal plate and scoring board scoring at every inch to create my grid. I used sand paper to rough this up a bit. Instead of adding silver brads in the corners, I used my Stampin' Dazzle Silver marker to accent the join of each diagonal. I stamped my butterfly on vellum and embossed in black ep. I used the direct to paper technique to add Wisteria to the back side of the butterfly and used my silver marker again to add accents on the front. I die cut white tissue paper and used my Wisteria reinker to dye the flowers then layered them and put them together with a silver brad. My leaves were die cut with Little Leaves die and I used my dinged up plates to get some rough texture on them. I stamped my sentiment then double punched with the Designer Label punch and backed with a punched silver piece. This is popped on dimensionals. So, my repeated elements or the Free for All are the 3 flowers and 3 sets of leaf die cuts. For the mixability challenge to use both rough and smooth elements: My rough media is dry embossing, sanding, and the textured leaves and the smooth is the heat embossing and the silver accents.
