Here's my card for Eula, posted it yesterday. It has a fresh-baked cake, since that's one of the things I've really missed since my mother died. Making your own cake just isn't the same, so I've only had a couple of birthdays with cake in the last ten years! And one of those was decorated by my best friend's kids whom I used to child-mind - so it was more a work of heart than art... And bought is not worth buying, in my book...
A2 base, papers are Basic Grey Two Scoops.
I stamped the Rubber Romance image on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks and H2Os. After masking her off I stamped the background with a Studio G stamp and added lines to make it look like tiles. The sentiment is HA.
I cut the scallops twice, once from pink Bazzill and once from the spotted paper, and scored them. They're glued to the card base at the top but popped up on two layers of foam at the bottom to give dimension. I also added some Liquid Pearls...

Luscious looking cake in a beautiful bakery - what a great look with all the pastel circles and swirls! I seldom get to have cake on my birthday - dh would rather have pie, and it seems like I really should not make my own!

Wow! Thanks for the vivid description of how you made this card...it is all the more amazing! Your masking is spot-on and your background just perfect (brilliant way to get the tile effect!). I love how you scored your pretty awning and added the touches of bling. Beautiful card Sabrina!
My mom is not a particularly good cook and only baked from a box. She taught us some, but I had to pretty much un-learn her technique to figure out how to cook properly myself. I would always bake my dad a 4-3-2-1 cake and frost it with coconut icing. My grandmother had done that every year until she died - I took over until he died 10 years ago.
Eula will love this, TFS.

Sabrina, your card is a work of art... I love it! Fantastic masking job... until I read your description, I thought it was all one stamp. LOVE the scalloped awning too. It really adds dimension to this beauty.

Hey, I like what you did with that background stamp ;) Actually I'm liking all of this - the polka dot awning is gorgeous. This definitely has a French bakery feel to it, or would that be Boulangerie? My old office mate used to bake me a cake - one layer only, but it was chocolate with white frosting, my favorite. Yup, store bought is just not the same!
Thank you for making this day so much more special for Miss Eula. (Did not know you weren't a "cheater" so special thanks for that!)
