There are two techniques for reinkers (apart from game pieces, which I don't have) in the list Cathy linked us to which I haven't ever tried yet, so for starters here's my first attempt at acrylic resist.
I was glad that I decided, having got my stamp all painty, that I might as well use two colours of paint and make two pieces of background, because the white paint didn't resist as well and I've kept it for something else.
For this piece I used Dusty Green acrylic paint on French Flair. When it was dry, I misted it with Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood and Scattered Straw, using Gold, Green Patina and Blue Smoke Perfect Pearls. Then I stamped Garden Collage with Versafine Black and coloured with distress inks. After trimming it down I sponged the edges with Brushed Corduroy. I stamped a Woodware sentiment on a scrap of the trimmed-off card, and added a Flourishes hummingbird that was sitting on top of my water jar. I'm sorry I can't capture the shimmer from the pearls - it's a lovely sunny day outside but way too windy. I love this technique, it's definitely one to try again.
