You know how sometimes you hoard just the "right" thing? Well, the main image here is a card I have saved for nearly 30 years, and it always reminded me of my lil sis, Kathy, who is a huge encourager. To be around Kathy strengthens my faith, and warms my heart. We pray together, share family responsibility, and we laugh. When Stacy (Twinshappy) sent this lil wooden garden gate to me, I knew it was a treasure to be shared with this card.
In keeping with today's FS (to case yourself), I chose Sweet Spot, which is actually a QFTD case of one of my favorite stampers, Judy (Jaydekay). I love how Judy's scenes come to life, and this is what was needed today. Judy, once again, your talent blesses me! Thanks for the inspiration. I changed the shape of my card, using the "store" card as a template to form the three rounded edges on watercolor paper and added the leaves from my Kitty Kits set. The gates are mounted over another template, to make them fold-able, and the bg is stamped using Watercolor Minis, and the retired SU set form 2003, Spring Garden. The were stamped first, and I added Scripture from SU's Renewed Faith Set. On the left, the Scripture reads "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet he lives..." John 11:25. I love this beautiful promise for Easter.
Sissy, I love you so much!
Thanks for looking!

Ooh Pat, I love this!!!! Such a wonderfully nostalgic image. Gorgeous and going straight into my faves. If I could create something half as beautiful as this I would be delighted. Thanks so much for sharing your amazing talent with us.
