Well, it rained enough today that we put off going camping for yet another day. The bright spot in the day came when the doorbell rang and a box of brand new SU goodies from the new catalogue was sitting there on the front deck.
What I can't quite believe is that I actually mounted all of the new stamps today - AND, get this, I actually stamped with one of the new sets - ON THE SAME DAY IT ARRIVED IN MY HOUSE! When I saw the sketch challenge posted tonight I chose the new set Beautiful Season. I just love the chickadees that hang around our yard so couldn't resist this set (even though I say "no more Christmas sets" every time a new catalogue is published).
Pretty straightforward - stamped, coloured, added some dazzling diamonds, did a little embossing and layered it all together.
Love this set.
PT: Oops. None on this one! But I used brand new stamps on the day I got them! No wonder I forgot to punch anything!

Heather, somehow I missed this beautiful holiday card. I went through pnz and it popped out at me. What a bad fruitcake. I'm getting ready to put my order in and that stamp set is one comin' to me too. Doubt I'll use it the first day like some people around here. But, you're right, that excuses you from using a punch. Hope I can measure up to this beauty. Your image is colored perfectly and the sparkle - YUMMO! I like how this pops off the black! You did way good for someone who is never home. Guess the camping trip is still off, huh?

Beautiful card - I don't think you can ever have too many bird stamps!!
I'd say you could send the rain here, but I think we're due some at the end of the week anyway. I had to water the garden today.

Wowzers, Heather...this is one gorgeous card! I think that you get extra bonus punchy points for using a new set on the same day that it arrives ;) Glad that the rain "forced" you to stamp, 'cause every little detail in this card is just beautiful!

WOW, so happy to see a creation with this set. Your card is so pretty! I love the CAS design and the ef's that you used. I love this set and had planned on ordering it to use for my Christmas cards this year! TFS
