This card is obviously a rework of my earlier card. However, it gave me a great idea for my brother's birthday card in September....
He was born on Labour Day (how appropriate for giving birth!). In Saskatchewan each Labour Day there is the "Labour Day Classic" match between the Sask. Roughriders and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Back in 1966, for my dad born in the 1920s and my brother his 4th child, he simply took my mother to the hospital. And then he went to the football game. I laugh. This would not happen nowadays. Anyway, how perfect is this card for his 45th birthday?
It will be hard to hold on to it until September - but I shall. I think he will laugh.

I love love LOVE this card! Rider pride runs deep in my viens and although I am too young to have attended the '66 Labour Day Classic, 1966 was a memorable year for the Riders winning their first Grey Cup! My father was at the Grey Cup in Vancouver when the Riders won. Anyway, I love your card and I love the rivalry between these two Canadian teams. Go Riders! Go Bombers! TFS!!
