Wanted to send some "Happy Thoughts" to my daughter. Some days college assignments just seem to weigh a person down so I'd thought I'd send a cheery hello. The CAS colours this week seemed perfect.
Since the only cardstock from this colour combo that I have in my stash is Daffodil Delight, I dug out my re-inkers for Poppy, Peach and Daffodil and tried the baby wipe technique. As I am known to do, I changed directions part way through and wound up punching (surprise, surprise) flowers out of the papers I inked up. (I have lots of other items I inked up with this combo that will wind up on future cards...)
Stamped the vine from the retired SU set "Just Vine" on some white cardstock, glued on the punched flowers, sent the works through my C'bug using the Square Lattice folder by SU. Love this technique!!
Added a sentiment and some Stickles and off it goes to bring some sunshine and smiles to my girl on a wintry day.
I had to add the black layer - I know it wasn't listed in the colours allowed for the CAS105 challenge, but if that gets me tossed from the party, oops. But it didn't look right without it...
PT: 4 punches were dusted off in the creation of this card!

Oh Heather this is just so elegant. That folder really does add some great pizazz, dont you think? The flowers are perfect. Well, I guess I have to admit it .. you card is fabulous, dah-ling. Yes, I've fully recovered from the hole digging episode of last year. All is well, my friend. You will be receiving this card although I cant guarantee it will be in the mail anytime soon. I despise going to the PO. As for me and my lephrecan, please no questions. Dont you know the Irish cannot disclose any information to those not of the same nationality? I thought everyone knew that.
