My new yearÂ’s resolution is to use more ribbon and embossing powderÂ…just to get rid of it! I donÂ’t use either that often but I do have a pretty good supply of both.
-Reinkers and artist brush were used to watercolor the image after it was heat embossed.
-I sprinkled embossing powder over the card at an angle then applied heat from the underneath to add the speckled effect.
Stampin Up Top Note (Sizzix) die was used for the pink and black panel then I used a template and marker for the scalloped pattern at the top and also used that template to add the piercing at the top of the pink panel.
-The gems from Jolee are coated with an adhesive and once the heat hits it itÂ’s stuck tight! Pretty neat if you can made them stay in place, I did okay by only doing three at a time.
Tip: when heat embossing the cardstock often changes shape but if you also heat the other side of the cardstock it will straighten out and when I emboss on the card base I also heat the back piece on both sides so it matches up with the front.
Envelope: I used Prismacolor pencils to color the images.
