My grandma taught me how to drink tea, back when I was a toddler. She always poured it boiling hot out of the pan over the tea leaves. I would whine about it being too hot. She would say, "Well, take some in your spoon & blow on it. Or if that would take too long pour some in your saucer & blow on it." And sure enough, the tea would cool & I could enjoy it. Of course it was always accompanied by cookies out of the cookie jar. Whenever I drink tea, I'm transported back to warm & happy memories back in my grandma's kitchen. Now I am teaching my own grandchildren to drink tea. This is my first challenge, as it is the "Teapot Tuesdays" challenge . . . it HAD to be a teapot! Hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of "da Mudda's" Teapot challenges.
That little song is the one that I've sung all my life. First to my oldest friend Helen when we played mud pies and tea party........then to my daughters and then to all of my grandkids.
Love your card !!!

Welcome!! Very nice card. This is one of my favorite sets. I love your story and the tradition that your grandmother started...isn't it amazing how something so simple, like drinking tea, can mean so much??? And now your grandchildren will be saying the same thing when they grow up. Your first challenge....a success!!!!

This is such an old card so I hope you can still see my comment. I remember tea with my great grandma. To this day I am a 100%tea drinker, never coffee. I love this layout and plan to CASE it, ironically with a coffee cup for a coffee drinker. TFS
