This is a birthday card for a very special bd Girl, celebrating her special day today. I am so happy I had the chance to roll back the clock and honor Angela, because I missed her FS back in February.
I chose Angela's Shining the Light card, and tried to keep true to her layout, changing the colors and image only. I did not have the pretty metal corners, but made due. The main image is from SU's classic Wild Wild West and is water colored and paper pieced using DP and Choc Chip papers. I also used my 2nd favorite SU set- Roses in Winter to highlight the image as Angella did. The blooms are from the Dollar Store and the Happy Trails twill is from Creative Cards, Etc. His vest has a coat of Fun Flock.
Angela, your work has always amazed me, and also touched my heart. So today, my friend, I hope you can enjoy a little more FS. Thank you so much for all you share in this place- because your heart is truly in it!

I do not know how you keep them cowboys masculine and use some feminine details at the same time and they still look masculine. Woo Hoo my girl - this is fabulous. I'm not jealous for now since I have my real cowboy here; but, when our first fight comes, I may be a needin' this paper cowboy to go with the rest of the set in my closet! LOL! Pat, your work is just BEYOND pure art. I truly love your cards and this is just an example of how talented you are. Hugs - Your Cowgirl - now, I'm a leavin' you to get back to my real cowboy - See ya at the ranch soon!

Man oh MAN, Pat, you really knocked this one outta the ballpark! I can't believe how great this looks paper pieced, and stamped around the edges like that!! Your "make do" metal corners look fantastic, the stick pin with the happy trails ribbon is an amazing touch, to say nothing of that awesome stitching, and your ever perfect flower placement ! This is just one magnificent card!
LYMI - sorry I am late - forgive me?
