This card was made using today's Technique Challenge that Toy posted. The technique is called Embedded Image. Toy has given a perfect tutorial...so hop over to the challenge and check it out.
I am not an embossing powder stamper.....but that all changed today when I tried this technique. I love the finished look and can just image how wonderful this technique would look on cards, journals, etc. Thank you Toy for introducing me to a technique I will continue to use.
I distressed my image with Tim's distress ink color: Wild honey before I began embossing.
I was also thrilled when I found these Kolo photo corners I have hoarded for years. I think it gives the image a nice little touch.
I am very happy to learn this technique and to actually make a card that turned out okay.

Oh Bevie, this is so fabulous. When I used UTEE 3 or 4x's on an image, I get the 'aged' appearance because the cs actually burns with all that UTEE and too much heat. Your card reminds me of that. I just didnt know you could stamp over an embossed surface. What a great card this is using that technique. I need to try this. Your images were just perfect, dont you think?
