Today we are having tea with Tilly Tubberfly. Apparently she has two uncontrollable teenage sons. Our mission is to "gently" influence them in the right direction. Confused....go here for the complete story.....my card....
I did some research for this one. Thought if I knew what butterflies eat I could use that to draw them in. Well, butterflies don't eat. Imagine that, they only drink. So I made a butterfly feeder, spiked the nectar and added a brightly colored flower to the upside down jar. Put a piece of cotton in the hole I punched in the lid so they will be able to unwind their tongue to suck out the nectar. Bet you never thought you'd be learning something on a Teapot Tuesday! hehe
I also got to thinking about when a hunter hunts geese. He puts out goose decoys to attract the real ones. So I have also put out decoys only they are "butterfly" decoys. If the juice don't get them renegade teenage butterflies, maybe the decoys will. hehe
Plus I have a back-up plan. Always have a back-up plan. Curt has offered to wear a hat with sliced oranges on it. Another attraction for a butterfly.
Well, hope one of these does the trick. In case you're wondering coloring was done with re-inkers and copics, and sponging.
Must say, there are some mighty pretty cards in the gallery today. Jackie, who is at our destination station today, is going to love them all! Hope you like mine....TFL :0)

Hey, what do you mean you can't learn sumthin on a Tuesday??? Curt learned how to be a entre-manure!!! That is a huge accomplishment! I thought I saw a flutterby eating Bev's coconut cream pie, are you sure they only drink?? Even the behaved ones?? Snort!
I just knew Curt would show up....one way or another! Its a good thing too cuz no body even thought of an orange slice holder upper! We coulda been up the river without an orange slice holder upper!!! Curt saves the day!
Flutterbys have tongues???? I know they have ears because Nicole is Butterfly Ears.....even though she says its her dogs fault...okay off on a tangent.....
You rocked this challenge! But then you rock every challenge! Can't wait to see your other card cuz with the research you did you are the resident flutterby expert now! You card definately tells the story with a little twist! Hee!
Hi Sis! Orange ya glad your sister remembered the orange slice holder upper?

Jackie will love this. What a fun card and you used one of my very favorite sets! I love how you used the leaf for the tree and your upside down jar will surely attract many butterflies. Mine are rushing there.

LOL! This is just the funniest card. You've thought of everything... from spiked nectar to butterfly decoys and hats made of orange slices. Glad to see that Curt got back up on his feet.

Oh Curt - watch out and don't tread on the decoys or that's one good plan that will bite the dust.
I was so amazed last week when I was looking at the photos I'd taken (not the ones I used on my card), and in one photo you could see a butterfly coming in but still a couple of inches away from the flower, and its proboscis was already out ready to start sipping as soon as it landed.
