It seems like a long time since I've been able to make a teapot challenge, but I guess the holiday helped. The weather here was beautiful and I spent much of the weekend outdoors, so I was able to gather some beautiful butterflies to send off to the National Butterfly Behavior Foundation to show those rogue butterflies that "Top Gun" is not appropriate behavior. (for deets on that little spot of trouble, see here: MMTPT110 - LOOK AT US FLY! WE'RE SO HIGH! TIME TO TRY A FLUTTER-BY! by Mothermark at Splitcoaststampers )
This is also for this week's CAS challenge, an awesome sketch by resqbarbie.
Finally, several weeks ago Joan Ervin hosted a TLC challenge where she showed how to make ribbon butterflies -- at the time I promised I would get around to it, and look, I actually did. All it takes is a snip of ribbon, a little embroidery floss, and a good deal of patience to tie the two together.
