Well, I'd say it's been a pretty long time since I last played or even made a card. I have been very busy doing ZUMBA and getting into shape! I've lost 15 inches and 10 lbs since May '10...woot! woot! I have a goal to be in a smaller size for the Marine Corp Ball in November '10. I am so addicted that I also do Zumbathons, have you tried this type of exercise dance before?
The Inspiration Challenge is still my favorite challenge so I decided to check it out tonight. We were to choose from Frankie and Julie's belt buckles store. I couldn't believe what I saw. I knew I had to choose the Zebra Belt Buckle here http://www.frankieandjulie.com/shop/...roducts_id=605, because this is what my ZUMBA bag looks like. I decided to create a tag for my tote bag.
I started out using the CM oval cutting sysyem and cutting the 2 different shapes out of chipboard (back of legal pad). I used mod podge to cover each shape separately onto the white and the zebra fabrics. Folded extra fabric to the back! I covered the bottoms with white cardstock. I marked with a black sharpie little black lines on the outer edge of the larger oval shape. I was guessing of what it looked like because our printer is out of ink and I couldn't print it out. I sprayed clear--glossy aryclic spray paint to both oval shapes. I also attached the zebra shaped onto the bottom shape with tacky strip. I used a chipboard letter and peeled the first layer the paper off so I can color the letter using a bright pink sharpie. I also sprayed it with clear spray paint too. Attached using thin tacky strip. I decided to use the alphabet beads and hot glue the letters on. I attached a keychain to the back with hot glue and will be hooked to my tote bag tomorrow. I had fun creating this tag for myself and thanks Stef for the great idea. Have a wonderful weekend!
What do you think?
I have a 2 hour Zumbathon tomorrow to bring home a little boy that is going to be Adopted. Please pray that we raise enough money. Thank you!
Bonnie
