I couldn't wait to use the new Repeat Impressions rubber stamps I picked out with the $25 gift certificate I won last month in RI's What If Wednesday challenges! This RI pine forest stamp was *perfect* for pairing with the little campfire rubber stamp that my family found as a hidden treasure in our very first geocache find. (We started geocaching with our kids earlier this month. It's like a high-tech treasure hunt using a handheld GPS unit.) The campfire stamp is definitely handmade and the rubber image appears to be hand carved. It couldn't have been a better find for my new-to-camping-and-geocaching family! It even has a hot dog and marshmallows roasting on sticks (which I colored in with colored pencils).
And I used the sketch from the current What If Wednesday sketch. This is also for the Paper Sundaes challenge to make a birthday card--this is for my Dad, whose birthday is in August. This will be a great reminder of all the wonderful camping trips my own parents took us on when my sister and I were growing up!! I enjoyed fitting in the Day 123 challenge on 365 Cards: to use three shades of yellow on your card. And finally, this is for the Delightful Challenges challenge to make a card that's all about summer. Camping and campfires are all about summer in my book!!!
