My CC275 birthday card using Mellow Moss, Barely Banana, Real Red and Confetti Cream as my neutral. My dessert option was my embellished frame.
Thanks Betty for a beautiful color combo. The MM and BB add so much softness.
I made the dahlia flower by punching 3 R Red and 2 B. Banana scallop circles. I also punched one 5 petal flower punch for the leaves. I then sprayed each side of the circles with White Shimmery Paint mixed with alcohol and scrunched the wet circles. Opened the scrunched layers, stacked and punched a hole in middle with the cropadile and added a rhinestone brad. Then scrunched the entire flower together to get a nice pretty dahlia. The flower dries quickly and is nice and stiff with a bit of shine from the shimmer spray.
I saw a SU Demo technique video recently that cut the Silver Hodgepodge Label Holder in half with craft and rubber scissors, then you can spread the frame apart and add dimensional layers on top of frame. I tried it and really liked the results for my sentiment.
There are several techniques on this card, but it was really very easy. This is a special 60th birthday card for a very close girlfriend. I think she will really like it. Enjoy and TFL.......

Nancy, great flower and tag - love the techniques - thanks for sharing them. I am going to have to try both of them. I can see this working in other color combos too. What a great card!

So pretty, Nancy! I love the texture of the cream panel and torn edge, with the red peeking out! The flower is beautiful and I like how you layered the sentiment! What a neat idea to cut the hardware and add the punched ovals!
