My DD's dog Ginger is simply crazy. The birds tease her. They sit on the wires above the yard and she stares at their shadows in the grass all the while wagging her little tail. She is so funny. While front legs firmly planted she spins around bouncing her back legs up and down. What a sight to be hold.
Today's challenge was to go buggy. I immediately thought of Ginger and how she also chases butterflies. BUT as you can see I put none of this on my card. Instead, I put Ginger in a sack with a bee on her nose. I don't think you could get her to sit still long enough for a bee to actually land on her nose! hehe .....details.....
I drew the sack with Ginger and the bee, colored with w/c pencils, clear ep Ginger and the bee.
Stamped a Judith flower stub on the wall with versa mark, and the lady bug which I colored with a copic and clear ep'd.
Drew the wall plug, base board and scored the floor. Masked off parts and sponged the floor with a new to me Distress Ink wild honey. The wall was sponged with another new to me ink tumbled glass. Since I didn't have a re-inker for a new to me Victorian velvet, I swiped the pad on a pallet sheet and then took a wet brush and colored the base board. This is just like using a re-inker.
Layered this with black cs then put on a kraft card doodling the edges. Put some platinum stickles on the bee's wings. Well, hope you like my plain card today.......TFL :0)

This is the cutest! Love your drawings and stories! The birds terrorize my designer dog (ha, ha. . .she's a Borgi-bull. . .border collie, corgi and pitbull) and she stalks their shadows just like your Ginger does. . .well sort of. . .she doesn't do the fancy footwork! You are just too funny!

OMG Cathy this is the cutest illustration! I love your story too - Ginger sounds like my cats with the birds driving them crazy 'cause they are indoor cats!Anyway this is amazingly awesome - and I think you should write a book of short stories like this one and illustrate it! I'm serious!
