No sentiment here.........this card is for two challenges, and they are VERY different.
This week's hostess for the Doubledog Dare Challenge is Bev (beestamper), who DARED us to make a humorous belated birthday card. Because I am so perpetually early, I NEVER send out belated cards. Chances are you'll get one from me two weeks early!!The card is simple, but inside it WOULD be going to say...
"sorry I'm late for your birthday. My folks all arived on the Juneflower!"
Please join us for a fun challenge by putting DDC in your keyword.
Now. For the WT, the challenge is to make a card of encouragement. This card will go to my DSIL who will be starting a new job next week for Goodyear, where he worked many years ago. Inside it will say
"wishing you smooth sailing in your new job". Julia said part two was to actually send it.
Since I can't send a belated, the encouragement will be sent off. (Mom just mentioned the sea doesn't look so smooth, but too late now!)
You can always see closer pics on my blog if you want to look.

I loved your inside sentiment. Too funny. As soon as I saw this cute card I thought of a saying I have on my wall.
"You can't control the wind, but you can adjust the sails!!"
I find this little saying to be helpful on keeping the right attitude when things are not of my control.
Love the way you did the waves!!!!!

Your card is very sharp-looking, Anne...very handsome!!! I love your thought behind your card, both your sentiments are cool, birthday and job...and I didn't even think of the seas...seeing the boat, water...I connect THOSE thing with smooth sailing...I'm not a boat or sailing person, though...wonder if your mom is...I wouldn't have been looking at the waves, maybe that's why she did, otherwise, she's VERY observant!! Wonderful card!!
